FAQ
Is it safe — and who shouldn't use it?
For healthy adults who can breathe freely through the nose, gentle mouth taping is generally considered low-risk. NightWeave is a sleep-comfort product, not a medical device, and it doesn't treat, cure or prevent any condition. Don't use it if your nose is blocked or congested, if you have been diagnosed with — or suspect you may have — sleep apnoea or any breathing disorder, if you've been drinking alcohol or taking sedatives, if you're prone to reflux or vomiting at night, or if you have a known adhesive allergy. If you snore heavily, wake up gasping, or feel exhausted despite a full night in bed, please speak to a doctor before trying mouth taping.
How do I apply it?
Start with clean, dry skin — pat your lips dry and skip lip balm. Peel one oval strip and press it gently across your closed, relaxed lips, centred over the seam of your mouth. Hold for a few seconds. We recommend wearing a strip for 15–20 minutes while awake before your first full night, so you know how it feels. One strip per night; each pouch holds 30.
Will it hurt to take off?
No. The medical-grade adhesive holds through the night and releases cleanly — no sting, no residue. Peel slowly from one edge, and dampen it with a little warm water first if you'd like it even easier. You can remove it at any point during the night.
What if I need to open my mouth?
The strip flexes and releases under real pressure — you can open your mouth if you need to. It's a gentle reminder, not a lock.
I have sensitive skin — what's in the adhesive?
An unscented, hypoallergenic, latex-free, PFAS-free medical-grade adhesive made by Henkel, on a 95% cotton strip. It's skin-tested to ISO 10993, the international standard for biocompatibility of materials that contact skin. That testing isn't a guarantee nobody will ever react — if you have very reactive skin or a known adhesive allergy, patch-test a strip on your forearm for a few hours first. Full material documentation is available on request at hello@nightweave.co.
Can kids or teens use it?
NightWeave is designed for adults and teens aged 14 and over. Never tape a child's mouth without explicit guidance from their doctor.
How long does shipping take?
We ship from Australia. Delivery within Australia typically takes 7–15 business days, and you'll get a tracking link by email once your order is on its way. Shipping is free on orders over $40 AUD.
What is the 30-Night Sleep Trial?
Open the pouch, use the strips, sleep on it. If NightWeave isn't for you, email hello@nightweave.co within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full — even if the pouch is opened and half used. Return postage is on us.
